FRINGE SESSIONS / BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Haslemere Fringe Festival hosted the new Fringe Rising Battle of the Bands in 2026, a brand-new grassroots battle of the bands competition dedicated to discovering and supporting local emerging musical talent.
The winners of this years Battle of the Bands Anna Muir, will perform on the main stage on Saturday at the Haslemere Fringe Festival in July 2026. Our Wild Card winner - New Horizon will also perform on Friday on the Main Stage.
A huge thank you to all our talented artists who performed in our four Heats and to the Shottermill Club for hosting our events.
BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2026 WINNER
Based on the UK south coast, singer-songwriter Anna Muir creates music to drive, scream and cry to. With lyrics born from a restless mind and shaped by a childhood spent moving from place to place, Anna’s songs capture the ache of belonging nowhere and everywhere all at once. Inspired by indie-folk icons like Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, as well as the likes of Big Thief and Radiohead, Anna’s music blends visceral honesty with clever lyricism and dark humour.
